Although I have not had the work done just yet I felt obligated to at least review the estimate appointment. Derrick O came out and was extremely professional, respectful and highly educated in the realm of plumbing. I got a bid a day before from a competitor, where I was misinformed and was not provided much explanation aside from a very LARGE repair estimate. Although the estimate was just as large with Derrick he provided extreme detail into not only the process but how we came to where we are. Although I am not happy with the amount, I felt very comfortable agreeing since I was provided with such knowledge and care. He takes great pride in his work and efforts and it truly shows! Great Job Berkeys hard workers are hard to come by but Derrick far exceeds those expectations! ~ Jesse S

I needed someone to repair a pipe that burst in my master bathroom...& the timing couldn't have been worse - 2:30am in the middle of an ice storm! The water was shut off & couldn't come back on until it was repaired. So no toilet flushing or showering, etc... It was Wednesday & a few other companies I called said Saturday was the earliest they could send someone. That wasn't going to work for me, so I called Berkey's for one last try & they put me in contact with Mack, who drove 60 miles in the middle of the night, in the sleet!! He had the problem fixed & my water back on in less than an hour! He definately went above & beyond expectations! Im a new first time home-owner & i dont believe i'll be needing to call anyone else in the future. ~ nikki p

Our experience with Mark Derby could not have been any better. For starters, Mark was friendly,courteous, professional, and very competent. He explained everything in detail and answered all of our questions completely and patiently. We had a terrible time consuming struggle with the credit bureau unlocking our credit report (frozen due to multiple hacks of our data). It was 6pm and took over an hour to unlock. Mark could not have been more patient. This even though he and his family were leaving very early the next morning to drive eleven hours to visit family for Christmas, and his drive home from our home was an hour and a half. Mark also rushed our installation into two days to accommodate our travel plans. We would recommend Mark and Berkeys to everyone. ~ robert b

Fist time I've ever used Berkeys. Lighting struck my house last night and caused a gas leak in one of my gas lines. Berkeys sent Kevin Tolbert to investigate the leak and he was AWESOME! Kevin sweated his rear off in my attic looking for the leak for almost 2 hours. His skills and knowledge in plumbing led him to find the leak quickly. He gave me a few options on how to fix it. Option 1 would've cost me over $3000 and option 2 would cost me just under $1000. His honesty was very much appreciated! His integrity led me to sign up for all of Berkey's maintenance services, and they are coming out in a couple of days to check the electrical in our home. Nice to know that we have an honest upstanding company to tackle all of our HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical needs! Thank you Berkeys! ~ Chance3191 H

Until 2023 I used a few plumbers with one leaving me high and dry in the middle of a major master bathroom remodel. That is NOT what you want for your go-to plumber. Since 2023 I’ve used Berkeys for every plumbing call. From a simple sewer backup to rerunning water lines in the laundry room and converting old leaking soldered lines to the new pex setup, they knock it out. I’ve recently started using them for electrical issues including replacing electrical outlets installing a whole house surge suppressor and repairing aging aluminum wiring circuits. If they have a team who can handle the issue, I call Berkeys. They are quick to get you on the schedule, keep you in the loop as the technician is heading your way and always ensure the job is done correctly. ~ Geoffrey G

Woke up to water flowing out of my garage after my water heater tank sprung a leak. Berkeys came out, gave me a quote and the new water heater was installed the next day. I watched the entire process and learned quite a bit from the two installation techs. They were both polite, knowledgeable and worked quickly and efficiently as a team. As the water heater was 20 years old, there were several items that needed to be brought up to code. They also installed PVC piping from the drip pan right out of my garage so if it leaks in the future all the water will be directed away from my home. I would highly recommend Berkeys for water heater replacement. They might not be the cheapest, but they were reasonable and you ultimately pay for what you get. ~ Sarah R

I had the issue of the kitchen sink backing up into the other side of the sink. Had It happen before, needed the drain vent cleaned out that was on the roof. Calle d Berkeys on the suggestion by Mom. Got the next available service after explaining what I needed. Man should up and started on the in side drain in my kitchen. Not really what I looking for, but he told me that if that worked it was actually cheaper. So why not. It didn't really work all that well but it was enough that I could clean my dishes. He came back 2 days later, weather affected him coming back sooner, and did the roof vent. Only charged me for the roof cleaning and went over how to prevent it happening again. I liked it enough that I am signing up for their annual service plan. ~ william s

Tren is the best tech from any function at Berkeys that I've encountered. He was personable, funny, and extremely diligent in understanding the history of activity/repairs on both of my HVAC systems. He inspected the ducts in attic and the vents throughout the house at my request because of dust throughout the house and gave me a good quote and complete explanation of the process to clean and sanitize them. Because of his great attitude and confidence, I have total trust in his recommendations and immediately scheduled the duct cleaning. Yes, the cost will be higher than what the carpet cleaning companies charge but the scope and quality of work is much more from Berkeys. Tren should definitely be recognized for his awesome customer service. ~ Patsy M

I hardly ever write reviews but I needed to write this one! We had Daniel out tonight at my parents house and he was just phenomenal. The toilet in my parents house needed to be replaced but there was an issue with installing it. My parents have had 4 other plumbers come out, look at it for a few minutes, tell them they needed to buy a certain tool needed and left. DANIEL came in, checked it out, talked to my dad and answered every question asked (it was a lot my dad likes to talk.) and then preceded to let us know he could take care of it. All of the other plumbers said it would take 3-4 hrs, Daniel was done in less than two. He was super respectful, very diligent and just amazing all around. We really appreciate ya’ll and Daniel’s hard work! ~ Ana K

Clayton was our technician and he was awesome. He showed up in a timely manner, super professional, and thoroughly explained everything to me before starting any work. We had an issue with our shower drain being clogged with a metal device in which we Clayton was the 4th plumber to work on this issue. He was at our house for at least 6 hours but finally he was able to clear the drain!! This has been the most frustrating situation for our family and I know Clayton probably has never seen a situation like this but he was determined and got it done! He had to cut a small hole in the ceiling but he made sure it was super clean and he cleaned up any mess before he left. I would highly recommend this company and CLAYTON, they were timely, professional and the pricing was reasonable. ~ Erica S

Berkeys culture certainly must be to hire kind, professional, and knowledgeable people who have a passion for what they do. That is my experience with each of Berkey’s’ staff that I’ve been in contact with. You do not need to look further for someone you can trust to advise and perform work at your residence. Nick Giacomazzi, licensed electrician with Berkeys, completed the relocating of our upgraded breaker panel and electrical meter; additionally, upgrading switches and plugs. Nick worked seamlessly with Oncor and our city inspector. My husband and I couldn’t be happier to have Nick work on our home. He is a wonderful, knowledgeable, talented, trustworthy, professional person. Nick Giacomazzi will be coming back very soon to do more upgrades and make safety improvements to our home. ~ B S

I collected multiple estimates from various companies to replace an HVAC system that stopped working and was considered no longer cost-effective to repair. Berkeys' estimate wasn't the lowest $ amount, but they provided the most thorough inspection and were the most trusted company. After applying for and being approved for financing through one of Berkeys' affiliates, the installation was scheduled at our convenience. The technicians showed up at the promised time, and completed the installation well within the allotted time. After the installation was completed, the lead technician went over the entire installation with me, showing me how to operate the new thermostat, and demonstrating how to replace the new filter. They left our home just as it was when they arrived. ~ Jim G

Amazing Company! I needed to connect my grill to the natural gas line in my back yard. I called Berkeys and they immediately responded and accommodated my schedule. They sent sa technitian after hours to check the issue. Michael arrived on time and I was notified in advance about his arrival. I was pleasently surprised by his clear communication skills and friendly personality. He was very professional and respectful of our home privacy. He did a thorough job assessing the compatiblity of the equipment and was able in 5 minutes to produce a fair estimate for the job. 2023-03: Lonnie Hale from Berkeys worked on our main sewer line. He explained that the plumbing would require more significant work and scheduled that, for the next morning. Lonnie was very helpful. 2020-12: Jose Castro from Berkeys worked on unclogging our main sewer line. He explained the whole process, discussed the options, and worked on the issue very quickly with his assistant, using both an underground camera system and a powered drain cleaning machine. The entire job took about an hour, and during that time he used the camera to inspect the internal pipework and showed me the results of the work too. They cleaned up the worksite completely when they were done. The entire service was very good value. We are completely happy with the results. ~ Robert S

We've used Berkeys for years for both air conditioning and plumbing, and always been very happy with their service. Recently we had an extensive water loss at our property and Berkeys was there for us the entire way. They diagnosed the issue, made clear recommendations for the repairs, and did all the plumbing work along the way. They interfaced directly with the remediation company and made the process easy for us. When putting everything back together, they went above and beyond to accommodate our budget, timing, and other requests. They were flexible, punctual, and always pleasant. They showed up when they said they would and did the work as promised. Zac and Andy were key in making all this happen. Our daughters bath room tube, toilet and our kitchen sink backed up and we were having trouble getting it unclogged. So, we called Berkey's Plumbing. They were at first not able to come out until Monday, Sept. 28th, but later in the day they called us and said they had cancelation and were able to come out before 4:30 pm on Sat., Sept. 26th. Kevin was very polite and professional. He kept us informed of what he was doing to fix the problem and even showed me what had caused the problem. Plus how to try to keep it from happening it again. When he left, he left the are just the way it was when he came. In other words he picked up everything and made sure the area was very cleaned from all his work. This is why we use Berkey's for our Plumbing, AC, and Electrical Repairs! ~ J D

Chris Smolik was the electrician that helped me out during after hours and he was absolutely AMAZING! He was extremely professional, on time and most importantly very knowledgeable about his field and more! Being a first time home owner, it’s overwhelming when the slightest thing goes wrong. Chris was very patient and kind enough to take the time to educate me on the basics. He successfully fixed the issue with my breaker panel. I never felt rushed and he walked me through everything with detail. Chris is very down to earth and is passionate about his job! You can tell he genuinely cares and enjoys helping people. Berkey Heating and Cooling - I called this company Berkey Magic ( Make a great impression on customer). They always provide experiential customer service. The Technician , Darius who came to do fall tune up on my heater was very professional , courteous and knowledgeable. He was very prompt and took Covid precautions. They always go beyond call of service and do job since last 3 years I have using them. Berkey does not try to exhort you and charge you for services you don’t need . Berkey’s Technician will show you what is going on with your system unit so you can make an informed decision regarding any repair or replacement. . They try to work with you on prices. I am extremely happy with this company and will recommend them. Kudos for always taking time to do a good job., ~ Susan D

I am a MVP Member which I strongly suggest you be a member of because of the advantages allowed you. I called Berkeys last night to say I had no hot water. The representative booked me for today. Berkeys called me 45 minutes prior to the plumber's arrival then sent an email with the plumber's photo and history with Berkeys. I say all this because this is important to me. Now with the excellent service provided by the plumber. He checked out my water heater to learn the problem which was with the leak detection device closing the hot water valve to our townhouse. After checking several items it was determined that leak detection device needed to be replaced (the device was several years old). After replacing the device, the plumber made sure all was well with his remove and replace work. Now I have hot water, yea!! ~ Micheal G

Matthew arrived on time, after hours, 8:30 PM on Thanksgiving Weekend to boot, and saved the day! My new pipe installed recently in the guest bathroom was leaking EVEN when we turned the water off at the street! Ruined my brand new vanity, and was leaking downstairs into my breakfast nook! I had bowls everywhere! Matthew explained what the problem was, provided the estimate if he was correct and another if more work was required. He was friendly, and efficient! The cost was incredibly reasonable in my opinion and Berkey's will be my go to for any plumbing, AC or electrical needs from now on! Thank you so much Matthew, I was a wreck yesterday! My thermostat stopped working. I had another company come to install a new one. The guy tried for about an hour with no result. He informed me that the thermostat I purchased could be defective or that something was wrong with my AC system. I called several AC companies and the earliest day someone could come was Friday. I decided to call one more company and was pleasantly surprised to be able to get same day service with Berkey’s. Raymond came and checked our thermostat and AC system and in a few minutes had our system working. He answered our questions and was very professional. I definitely will use and recommend this company. So nothing wrong with our AC or the thermostat, and he helped connect the wifi in the smart device. Raymond was really good. Highly recommend Berkey’s and Raymond. Excellent service! ~ Mary M

These guys were amazing. They completed a huge job in a very short amount of time. They dismantled and took out my old AC system including vents, installed new AC system locating it in the Attic, moved my kids inter unit to the other side of the house did all the electrical plumbing and even moved and relocated a couple of vents for me and added returns to the ceiling. These guys were super professional Darius was top notch with getting the order placed and helping select the appropriate size equipment. The electrician was so great, definitely will be using him again in the future. Aaron and Usiel worked all evening to make sure my AC was blowing cold air before they left. Today I met with Derrick, a Technician from Berkey’s Plumbing and Electric Company. He arrived as scheduled and was very polite, pleasant and professional. We discussed my request and he provided me with information as to what services his company could offer. We discussed the details and scope of the project and as requested he provided me with an estimate. Additionally discussions with his Supervisor, Bryce were also held and also professional. As with many customers, I do my due diligence when looking for a company for services… As a result of the dialogue with Derrick and Bryce and responses and quoted price, I feel very comfortable with my decision to go do business with this company. ~ Steven B

I had to have a new air conditioner & furnace replaced. I called Berkeys they came out quickly. The sales representative Courtney sat down with me and discussed my concerns and cost. He was quit knowledgeable of the company, equipment and staff. I felt comfortable & more at ease with this major purchase being with such a highly educated company & Home Depot. I had Ruben as my technician. He was also highly educated about all of the equipment. He answered all my questions & didn't mind at all. He walked me through all the processes so I knew exactly what he was doing step by step. I wish more company's had employees like Ruben. And cleaned up all the mess. I'm so happy I went with Berkeys & if you want a company that cares for their customers as much as their equipment then call and ask for Ruben to be your technician. ~ Julie C
